A great time was held by all at this February 7 show. They played lots of original music, but also several tunes from the 80’s and 90’s that they “Grassed Up”. The Cure never sounded like that on the radio! The boys from Colorado Springs were tight, harmonies were spot on, and there was no doubt in anyone’s mind that they really enjoyed performing with each other. This was no mailed-in show. David and his fellow musicians told stories about their music, sometimes drifting into real-life situations that weren’t so good at the time. They certainly struck a chord of understanding with a song about a Iraq veteran’s struggles with life back home. The standing ovation they got at the end pushed the band to do one more song, and folks hung around for quite a while afterwards to meet the boys personally.
