Our Anniversary Gala on July 2nd

This summer, Post 119 will be conducting numerous activities to honor our nation’s 250th Birthday and the 150th Birthday of our state.  It is altogether fitting and proper that we at the Post take the lead in our community in this patriotic endeavor.  A major part of the celebrations will include our Anniversary Gala on July 2nd. While this gala commemorates our nation’s and state’s anniversary, it also celebrates our building’s long history (1939) in the Estes Park Community. Our building is one of a few American Legion buildings still standing! Many throughout our nation no longer exist. Our building has been remodeled and has now become a community gathering place. The Foundation’s purpose is to maintain and preserve this special place by raising funds through an annual gala. We welcome you to join us in this celebration.

What to Expect

On this celebratory evening, don your classy pantsuit or cocktail/ long dress, suit or sport coat. Our building will be closed to the public so that you can enjoy the following:

• 5:30 Cocktail Hour and Silent Auction in the Tavern
  • Enjoy complimentary cocktails and exceptional appetizers as you peruse the many upscale silent auction items. Our Silent Auction team has gone above and beyond to acquire exceptional items!
• 6:30 Banquet Hall Doors open for Plated/Seated Dinner 
  • Our Banquet Hall will be adorned like you have never seen it before. A three-course meal will be featured with wine provided.
• 8:00-10:00 Dancing and Mingling, Featuring The Kings of Swing
  • Experience the amazing sounds from this upbeat, 6-piece band, playing familiar favorites.
