250 Years

Celebration of our Nation’s 250th Birthday

As many of you are aware, American Legion Post 119 and Post 119 Charitable Foundation are taking the lead in Estes Park in honoring and celebrating the 250th birthday of our nation and the 150th birthday of Colorado statehood.  The first event of the weekend celebration will be a Galato be held at the Legion on Thursday, July 2nd, starting at 5:30 pm.  We welcome you to be a part of this grand event.

The Gala consists of a social hour from 5:30 to 6:30 with drinks, appetizers, We will also hold a silent auction for some wonderful items donated by members of Post 119 and the community.  Dinner will be served from 6:30 – 7:30. You will have your choice of prime rib, fish, or chicken and there will be a vegetarian option. Background music will be provided by the Kings of Swing. Dancing to this great band will occur from 7:30 to 10:00 pm.

Ticket price for this event is $250 per couple and $125 per individual.  This includes all appetizersand dinner, as well as drinks – beer, wine, and well drinks.  After covering costs of food and drink, all monies will go to the Post 119 Charitable Foundation to support their efforts to maintain and improve our historic building.  Ticket sales will open to the public on May 15. If you would like to further support the Foundation, sponsorships of this event are being solicited beginning at $250.
